Arlen will race in his second Cyclocross (CX) race. This race is for the Illinois State Championship and will be the last CX of the season. If you have never been out to a CX race, you should come and join the fun. This is one of the few bicycle races that is truly a spectator sport.

The Chicago Cyclocross Cup was started in 2004 by a group of ‘crossers from local teams that had a strong desire to race in their neighborhood. They spoke to other people who had similar goals and before you knew it a series was born. While the series will vary from year to year, you can expect some great new venues with spectacular support and all the fun that you expect at a ‘cross race. Our goal is to create a series that you can enjoy with fantastic sponsorship, great competition and lively courses. We hope it lasts for years to come.

John Franchi (5-1) will face tough WEC competetor, Cub Swanson (13-3) at WEC Brown vs Aldo on November 18 from The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, NV. John will look to rebound from his first career loss against the UFC veteran, Manny Gamburyan and continue his rise up the world 145lb rankings. On Point wishes John the best for a safe and productive training camp in preparation for this contest and thanks him andTeam Bomb Squad for their support in “Helping Those Who Protect Us”.
11NOV2009 Veterans Day ProFund Golf Classic 100
On Point is pleased to announce that we will have two distinguished guests golfing with us during our golf marathon on Veterans Day. In today’s time of world events we cannot forget the people who have come before us and fought for our freedoms. These two guests are part of breed of soldiers who did not have GPS systems and laser guided bombs on their side. These distinguished guests are World War II veterans and On Point Foundation is honored to have such hero’s among us on such an occasion.

FIRST RACE! 22-24 October 2009, On Point Foundation will team up with TeamHalfWayThere.com to launch the first On Point adventure race team. On Point Foundation is working directly with TeamHalfwayThere.com to raise awareness for “Service Members who have had a life changing event”.
Jen Moos, Mark Lattanzi and Shane Hagerman are off to the USARA Adventure Race National Championship in Pilot Point, TX. This will be the debut race for the On Point Foundation race team.

16OCT2009 Salute to Armed Forces Golf Tournament

Friday, October 16th, 2009 the Epilepsy Foundation of Arizona invites you to join us at our inaugural Salute to Armed Forces Golf Tournament to support the brave men and women who have returned from the Iraq and Afghanistan with traumatic brain injuries and post traumatic stress syndrome and are at risk of developing epilepsy.
We have secured a Blackhawk helicopter that will be on display at the golf course on that day. Auction items include a ride in a C-130 Cargo plane in which you will be joined by a Special Forces tandem jump team. Other items include golf and hotels package. Join us for what will be a fun filled day on the links!
Members of On Point Foundation will be supporting the Epilepsy Foundation of Arizona with volunteers for this event.

On Monday, October 05, 2009, On Point will again participate in the farewell ceremony for the Arizona National Guard. This time 2/285th Aviation is preparing to deploy to Iraq in support of OIF (Operation Iraqi Freedom). Come support your local heroes and their families during this ceremony. Its events like this that makes the foundation of On Point even more meaningful. As these brave soldiers deploy and leave their loved ones behind, someone must step up and seek to provide support for those left behind. The soldiers deployed can rest assured that all is being done to insure their families will not be alone. On Point stands at the ready, here to “Help Those Who Protect Us.”

What: Operation Outreach Conference/Info-Fair/Family Barbeque

Who: Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF/OIF) Veterans with Traumatic Brain Injury or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and their families.
Why: The number of OEF/OIF veterans returning to Arizona who have sustained TBIs, or post traumatic stress disorder is approximately 14,200. According to earlier research, half of these veterans will suffer posttraumatic epilepsy within the next 15 years.
Cost: Free to Veterans and their Family Members
Come join On Point in supporting the local veterans as we attend this conference held by Epilepsy Foundation.

We promise you no car washes, no candy bar sales, but a cleverly designed campaign. It will be more fun than you can imagine! This is again, a cleverly designed fundraising campaign, and a terrific way for us to raise some significant dollars for On Point Foundation.

On Friday, September 25th 2009, On Point participated in the farewell ceremony for the Arizona National Guard, 501st Military Police Battalion as it prepared to deploy to Iraq in support of OIF (Operation Iraqi Freedom). The ceremony was a chance for the unit, friends, and family to meet and greet as an entire entity for one last time before their loved ones departed for their year long mission. The atmosphere at the event was that of optimism, pride, and hope fullness as everyone involved shared stories, met each others families and shared in food and fun. Its events like this that make the foundation of On Point even more meaningful. As these brave soldiers deploy and leave their loved ones behind, someone must step up and seek to provide support for those left behind.
